At Hippie Flour Child Bakery, our fresh baked organic sourdough is available for pickup each week on Sunday. We ask our customers to pre-order their weekly loaves on Monday & Tuesday. There will be a designated location in Bishop to pickup your order on Sunday afternoons. We are passionate about curating nutritious bread that will promote your health and fuel your week.

Welcome to our slice of the internet! We are so happy you are here and checking out our sourdough products! We started out baking a loaf of bread each week, and loved sharing what we created with friends and family. It turned into quite a passion, so we decided to invest in this business to share the bread we love with the community we love. The menu items will stay fairly consistent, but with a “flavor of the month” that will share our new and exciting flavor combos. We are excited for you to try our bread and get all the nutrients that long-fermented sourdough has to offer.

Why Long-Fermented Sourdough?

Our sourdough process takes 3 days to allow optimal time for the dough to ferment. During fermentation, the wild yeast breaks down some of the gluten proteins and certain carbohydrates which makes the final product easier to digest. Those with gluten sensitivities often tolerate this type of bread well. Those without sensitivities get the bonus of bread that is good for the gut and easier to digest.
